Mildred Scheel had a vision: she wanted to beat cancer. As the wife of the Federal President and President of German Cancer Aid, she pulled out all the stops to fight the deadly disease. "Help. Research. Inform." was her credo.
She lived day and night for her foundation, collecting donations, raising awareness and providing advice. Her tireless efforts revolutionised treatment methods and the treatment of cancer throughout Germany.
